Weightless Wonder

This summer, The Confluence: Art in Twisp invites audiences to experience their new exhibition, Weightless Wonder, a showcase of a curated collection of sculptures that defy gravity and play with spatial perception. Weightless Wonder brings together local and regional artists to feature work in three dimensions that evoke a sense of floating, drifting, and soaring. Artists from across the region and beyond have created an experience that celebrates both the material and the immaterial in contemporary sculpture.
16 artists will be Featured, including Bernie Hosey, Dan Brown, and Ed McCarthy, among many others.

Wednesday Watercolor

The Confluence: Art in Twisp is delighted to host the Wednesday Watercolor Group’s work in the Community Gallery, July 15 through August 16, with an opening reception on July 19 from 5-7PM. On most Wednesdays, a group of local women with differing backgrounds and skills gather for a few hours in the morning to create with paint, paper and canvas. For nearly three decades, the collaboration has grown from a Confluence Gallery class taught by Patty Yates to an open community of friends with common interests in art and conversation. These gatherings have created enduring friendships, including some that have lasted since the very beginning.

The collection of works shared in the Community Gallery show represent the depth and breadth of skills, sensibilities, and passion that stems from this group of stalwart friends and talented artists.

Upcoming Events

How can we give meaning to living with the land and its limited resources? In what ways can we adapt our homes to best accommodate the challenges of extreme weather, wildfire, and roaming wildlife? What should we consider when planning to settle a piece of land?

The 2025 Methow Valley Home Tour, The Place That Keeps You, explores responses to these important questions.
