The Confluence Poets
Words in the Wild
Sunday, June 22, 1 pm
The Methow Valley's prolific Confluence Poets have banded together this summer to present a program of "Words in the Wild" on Sunday afternoon June 22 at 1 PM at The Confluence on Glover Street. The gallery's main showcase this month is "Recreation: Art in the Outdoors," and Confluence Poet’s program director Jim Ditto has put together an engaging presentation of nature-themed poetry and gentle musical entertainment. The event is free, and light refreshments will be provided.
The Poets have been presenting four or more readings a year for eleven years now, and are thrilled with their ongoing partnership with The Confluence: Art in Twisp. The gallery originally spawned the group via a gallery-sponsored poetry workshop, and over the intervening years the spontaneous gathering of local poets has formalized its relationship as part of the nonprofit. In addition to its quarterly poetry readings, Confluence Poets periodically publishes a collection of poetry postcards—with a new collection coming out this fall in time for holiday shopping—and many of its members have published collections of their works.
You can find the Confluence Poets postcards and books in the Confluence Gift Shop, and you can find "Words in the Wild" at The Confluence in just a couple of weeks!
