Paula Christen
Welcome! I'm Paula, a painter based in Washington State, part of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where every day I'm surrounded by the landscapes that inspire my work. Living here, it's easy to take the stunning scenery for granted, but each time I step outside, I'm in awe that I get to call this place my home.
My paintings are a celebration of that awe - a tribute to the forests, rivers, mountains, and quiet corners of nature that fill our lives with peace. I work in traditional watercolor, often using wet-in-wet techniques and a warm palette to bring a sense of coziness and calm to each piece. I've had the privilege of studying with great master watercolorists like Frank Webb and Tony Couch, who've helped me hone my skills and deepen my connection to the medium.
