Changes in Open Call Exhibits

Important Update!!!

We are changing how we do calls to artists! We are now opening calls earlier and keeping them open later. We are asking for submissions of completed work.

This new system is a simple one step application process that will streamline artist-gallery communications. If you need assistance, please contact the gallery at info@confluencegallery.org or at 509-997-2787 and we will set up an appointment to help you with your submission. We are also happy to help over the phone or email.

Water

We invite you to contribute to our exhibit “Water” at the Confluence Gallery in Twisp, WA. The show will open on July 20 and will run through August 24.
This exhibit is about fresh water: water as a life force, essential and precious. Life in the water, life near the water, riparian, creeks, rivers, lakes and ponds. Thirst quenching and life sustaining. But how do we share and best use this vital resource? Water for fish and wildlife, water to drink, water to grow food, water to give us life. We invite you to explore the nature of water and how it sustains all life in our arid world.

Number of pieces to submit: up to 3:

Here are the rules. Each piece must be:

Your own original work.
Available for sale.
Created in the last 3 years.
Never previously been shown at The Confluence.
Any Size
Any Medium.
Ready for hanging with appropriate hardware/wire secured to work (works without hanging hardware or not professionally presented will not be hung. No dented or scratched frames unless that is part of the work)

Please Note: The curator(s) have the right to refuse work, even after work is delivered to the gallery if it does not contribute to the direction, cohesiveness, or available space of the show. We are looking for high-quality execution and thoughtful content that contribute to the vision of the show as stated above.

Email high-quality JPGs of accepted work exhibits@confluencegallery.org for our promotional materials.

By July 13, 2024

Completed works to The Confluence.
The Confluence contract and inventory sheet completed.
Artist Statement and Bio for public display emailed to exhibits@confluencegallery.org

July 20, 2024 - EXHIBIT OPENS
Opening reception 5-7pm at The Confluence: Art in Twisp.

August 24, 2024 - EXHIBIT CLOSES
Work will be available for pick up from 10 am-noon on Sunday, August 25, or Monday, August 26. Please contact The Confluence at creative@confluencegallery.org if you need to make other arrangements beyond those dates and times. All work must be picked up by September 14, 2024, unless further arrangements are made.

The Confluence is a non-profit gallery. All shipping costs to and from the gallery of unsold works are each artist’s responsibility. See The Confluence Shipping Procedures form for details.

Submission: Fill out the Online Submission Form, including images of your work by May 12. If you need assistance, please contact the gallery and we will set up an appointment to help you with your submission. We can also assist over the phone or email.
Accepted work: Email high-quality JPGs of accepted work or work in progress along with Artist Statement and Bio (word doc preferred, pdf OK), Inventory Sheet [PDF], and The Confluence Contract [PDF] up to and including the day of delivery. All works must be at The Confluence approximately one week prior to show opening.
Shipping: The Confluence is a non-profit gallery. All shipping arrangements and costs to and from the gallery of unsold works are each artist’s responsibility. See The Confluence Shipping Procedures Form [PDF] for details.
Commissions: The Confluence offers a commission structure of 60/40 to non-members artists and 65/35 to member artists.
